Introspective

An autobiographical series depicting a journey of self rediscovery in the midst of disillusionment, distress and loss of identity. It considers the themes of creativity, self-expression, self-doubt, and the opposing forces of fear and hope.

As the images progress the subject can be seen moving into emotional and physical states in search of herself and her lost purpose, with varying degrees of clarity. In some images form is entirely dissolved through movement and becomes only an abstract state of time passing: those moments in which we are spread so thin and are so confused and afraid that it is almost as if we did not exist at all.

By sharing this intensely personal, and expressionistic narrative, Introspective aims to turn the viewer in upon themselves. To make them question the moments when their own path has become blurred, and their own self seems fragile, threatened and translucent.
